Goods that are made in Canada or Mexico may be eligible for duty free treatment or reduced duty rates under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The importer must provide proof of origin to CBP in the form of a Certificate of Origin and/or country of origin marking on the goods. The manufacturer or seller of the goods should be able to provide the importer with a certificate of origin.Be aware that all goods made in Canada and Mexico are not duty free. You can contact Cleared and Delivered. let them know the port through which your goods are being imported, to find out whether the goods you intend to import are eligible for duty free treatment.
